Newhaven Station

Last night was the opening Preview of my old flatmate Holly's exhibition Newhaven Station.

"Since its discontinued use as a public railway station in 1962 the building has evolved from a carpentry workshop into an abandoned space ripe for development. In its present reality the owner of Newhaven Station, has gifted the curator Holly Knox Yeoman and the artist’s use of the station as it nears a final transformation into freelance office space"

Holly invited 3 artists to respond to the site and install work around the building...

Opening Night

Unfortunately, the generator failed... meaning a lot of the evening was spent under the illumintation of tea-lights.

Personally, I think it added a delightful atmosphere to the event.

Later on the genereator powered up... Sounding something like a train.

Then I went back in the day time.

I am a very proud flatmate (of old). Well Done, HKY.
